U2's "Out of This World" Moment

The band U2 is known for its out-of-this-world shows -- but the latest 360 tour had an actual interstellar moment.

During the performance in Seattle, a clip of the concert shows frontman Bono dedicating "Beautiful Day" to Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, who was shot in the head when she was attacked in Tucson.

Bono asks the audience, "Imagine a man looking down on us from 200 miles up. Looking down at our beautiful crowded planet ... What would he say to us?"

On a ginormous screen, the face of Commander Mark Kelly, who is married to Giffords, beams in from outer space with the words to "Beautiful Day" floating in zero gravity all around him. Kelly commanded that last space flight of the Endeavour shuttle in May, and made time to record a message for U2.

Kelly speaks to Bono and fans: "Hello Seattle ... from the International Space Station." He then delivers a line from David Bowie's "Space Oddity": "I'm looking forward to coming home. Tell my wife I love her very much ... she knows."
